a directory of currently serving NZ based and domiciled greyhound sires/stud dogs registered with the NZGRA Inc and present and past rankings on the premiership for NZ based stud dogs.

This sites contains as comprehensive listings as possible of currently serving greyhound sires/stud dogs currently serving in New Zealand, registered with the New Zealand Greyhound Racing Association and available for either natural or frozen semen matings. The information supplied is dependent on the cooperation of studs and studmasters and the NZGRA. News of the achievements of NZ domiciled sires and their progeny will also be published when supplied by studmasters.

A new feature has also been added recently - a ranking table for the top 50 NZ brood bitches. It is not logistically realistic to include all NZ broodbitches as there are nearly 200 of them to be extracted from a total list of between 400 and 500. As with the sires' ranking table, it's accuracy relies on the NZGRA database and information provided from several sources as which bitches are domiciled in NZ and which are not. Information listed here is provided as a service to breeders and students of breeding and greyhound racing in NZ in the hope of helping to grow, develop and support the local breeding industry and improve the competitiveness of local bred greyhounds.

New Zealand based Sire Listings: A directory of currently serving NZ greyhound sires/stud dogs. This list doesn't claim to be fully comprehensive as it relies on individual studmasters to register their sires with us and provide the sires' details to ensure a listing here.
New Zealand based Sire Rankings: Past and present rankings on the premiership for NZ based stud dogs by season from the 2005-06 season to the present based on and extrapolated from the NZGRA's rankings for all sires with progeny racing in NZ.
New Zealand based Brood Bitch Rankings: Rankings on the premiership for Top 50 NZ based brood bitches based on and extrapolated from the NZGRA's rankings for all brood bitches with progeny racing in NZ. Note theri are over 400 brood bitches with progeny in NZ and almost 200 NZ based.

A news page will also list current newsworthy achievements of those sires and their progeny. However individual studmasters will need to submit the relevant information to us and ensure it is up to date.

The only criteria for inclusion is that the stud dog or sire submitted is domiciled and based in New Zealand. It can be locally bred or imported, available for natural or FS matings, so long as it is locally domiciled and readily available to New Zealand breeders.
